Notes: Butthole Surfers VFW Hall #18 Kansas City, MO. October 31, 1984 Source\lineage: Sony Mic>Sony Handheld Recorder (forgotten model) (m)>CD>eac>flac (level 8) Set: 1) Cherub 2) To Parter 3) Tornadoes 4) Dum Dum 5) Cowboy Bob 6) Hey (abortion) 7) Mexican Caravan 8) BBQ Pope 9) Wichita Cathedral 10) The Shah Sleeps in Lee Harvey's Grave 11) Lady Sniff 12) Something 13) >encore break< 14) Butthole Surfer 15) Psychedelic Jam 16) Mark Says Alright 17) Hey Recently surfaced recording from the master taper: Jason Willis. Jason was kind enough to unearth his master recording and put up MP3's up on the web a while back, but he was even MORE kind to send me a lossless copy after my incessant groveling... Here is the recently unearthed 10/31/84 show, and NEVER unearthed LOSSLESS version!. A splendid performance and set here. This long set (for the time) includes one of the earliest performances of 'Mark Says Alright' and a very early (and surprisingly cohesive) Psychedelic Jam. The aborted 'Hey' seems to be because of some technical difficulties, but they play it again and get through it... This has become my favorite document from their first U.S. tour. The sound is great (A-) and the band is having a ball...as was the crowd, it seems. Of course, if you'd like more info on this and every other known Butthole Surfers performance and recording, please see here: http://www.jasonramke.com/bhs/main.php Enjoy! This has already been distributed in MP3 Format. Be original! keep this one Lossless!! Please Do Not Sell!!! -notsaved
