Notes: Robben arrived looking like he was having a "period"-he was grumpy with the audience,he couldn't get one of his guitars to stay in tune, constantly fiddling and talking with roadies during the performance(a sackable offence in my band-and ,I think, unprofessional)he was unable to build a solo satisfactorily-...so..no sign of the "great" Robben...which he is... By contrast-Larry,the band leader, was exceptional in every respect-he dug in-played his heart out-the audience loved him.A fabulous range of dynamics and tone from a Gibson 335 and a Dumble Amp. Toss Panos was superb on drums-as always. Recording level is a bit "hot" here and there--MdeA version

Notes: Another recording of this show by AB-Further comment-I have listened to this show a lot in the last week-Robben plays a little differently-but actually,he's great at all times-playing through an A/B Box hooked to a Fender Twin and a Fender Super Twin(a la Derek Trucks)-very twangy-but v nice
