Notes: Elton John - Mega-rare restored LP "Live (CBM)", Scope Norfolk, VA 1972-11-13 and Hwd Bowl 1973-09-07 AUD - Speed corrected and rejoined (mp3 sample included) great show This album has never sounded better, and for once you can actually hear it properly. From a mint, fairly well-pressed copy (well, as well-pressed as CBM ever was, which is terrible) this album has been shaken, stirred and EQed to squeeze as much sound out as possible. For those of you unfamiliar with this particular performance, Elton's guitarist Davey Johnstone was laid up in a New York hospital with a bad tooth abcess and the band is now playing as a trio. This performance is stellar! There's also an additional track thrown in from the Hollywood Bowl from the following year. A very small amount of noise reduction was used in order to quiet the snowstorm apparent between tracks. A very complex EQ was used in order to clarify the performance. Fades were applied wherever deemed necessary. This album ran way too fast. It's now been pitched properly. Grab it! Lineage: CBM LP -> Audacity ->Sound Forge 11.0 ->Glitch removal ->Click and crackle removal ->Independent normalization of channels ->"Dead space" noise reduction ->Apply fades, remove silence between tracks ->Complex EQ ->FLAC via TLH, level 6, sectors aligned and verified
