Tracks 1-4 Early '68 sounds more like studio demos than a rehearsal, I'd say these are from after the move out to California
Track 5 maybe '67, sounds more Nazz than Alice Cooper
Track 6 sounds early ('66 or '67) maybe a rehearsal
Track 7 definitely a different take than the single that was later included in the box set. As well, Vince's vocals are panned hard right and music is panned hard left
Track 8 embryonic version of Public Animal #9
Track 9-14 Sounds like a very early live gig (Summer of '66)
Tracks 15-16 Another early live gig but different sound quaility than the previous tracks - same time frame though
Track 17 sounds like a rehearsal. Who ever put this tape together originally, looped this 4x (but cut in different places) making it sound like multiple takes.
While this material is rare and offers a part of the early history, sound quality makes it for the hardcore fan and the incurably curious only. It ranges but is generally a challenging listen.
Taurus put this together, thanks to him!
