(Don't be fooled because Joe's not present; the soundcheck is a good listen.)

Feelin' Alright (tease) ** ** - these "bonus" songs are from the soundcheck (without Joe Cocker) (Don't be fooled because Joe's not present; the soundcheck is a good listen.) Lineage: ALD/SBD > D8 (listen box--from the parking lot) DAT > CDR Additional editing notes: * Faded end of Track 108 with Nero (last song before intermission) * Deleted a portion of a 2-second dropout at the beginning of Track 109 * Boosted volume of first 10 seconds of Track 111 by 4 dB * Lowered volume of Track 207, 208 and part of 209 by 1dB * Re-tracked show by combining in Nero, splitting with CD Wave * Show was recorded out-of-phase; show was phase-corrected (to be "in-phase") via Cool Edit Pro Additional notes about this show/recording: * There is a SLIGHT bit of static present in many songs (due to reception of the signal), but it's by no means a "deal breaker". Most of the time, only a second or two of a song has a slight crackle... and many songs have no issues whatsoever. * At the end of Track 108, Joe mentions he's "got a bit of flu"... and at the end of the show (end of Track 206), he says, "Tampa...we love ya...take care. I'll try to see you next time when I'm healthy." Well, for a guy getting over the flu, he sounds pretty good to these ears. This is an entertaining show. * At the end of Track 103, Joe exclaims, "Clearwater...good evening!" But as mentioned in the point above, Clearwater somehow became Tampa! ( I know, I know...Tampa and Clearwater are RIGHT NEXT to each other. But I still think it's funny/odd that he refers to the crowd as "Tampa" at show's end since he himself referred to them as "Clearwater" earlier in the evening.) ALD (assisted listening device) soundboard recordings are usually knocked for their "thin" sound quality (high amount of treble, not enough bass), but I don't think that's a real issue here at all. As such, Jim's files have been unaltered for sound quality (i.e., no EQ performed) --if some of you prefer to have more bass in your ALD recordings, I'll let you do your own EQ work since it then becomes a matter of personal taste. As for me, I think the show sounds great, as-is. Jim Fiesler notes: (regarding his ALD-SBD shows): "ALDs (fm-sbd) perfect captures in most or all cases.. however somewhat lacking bass..more than regular fm..The best place to rec these shows was from the park lot..! the signal was the best there..!" If you decide to download this show, won't you please consider posting a comment on the show's board? It only takes a moment, and believe me, it takes A LOT longer to prepare/upload a show for others to enjoy than it does to download and run. And won't you please consider thanking Jim for this mighty fine show? Generously donated by Jim Fiesler (undiscokidd), and uploaded on DIME by TheCommish September 2008 | |||||

| Notes: | Another fine recording made in the parking lot by Jim Fiesler. Joe does his mesmerizing show with great energy. The thing that makes this recording unique are the soundcheck songs without Joe that demonstrate how great the backing band really is. | |||||
