Comment

Anonymous Collection 1 Cassette #115 contains three separate sets of recordings:

1) Several songs from Bill Monroe & His Blue Grass Boys with Jimmy Martin, possibly from the Bean Blossom Festival, Bean Blossom, IN, 1971 (if the cassette label is correct)

2) a fiddle workshop/lesson, (possibly with student Hsueh-Cheng "Ryo" Liao of the Japanese group Bluegrass 45), also likely from Bean Blossom 1971, but unknown

3) a Country Gentlemen set from what appears to be the 1st Annual Country Gentlemen Bluegrass Festival, Webster, MA-1971. The Gents at this time included Charlie Waller, Doyle Lawson, Bill Emerson, & Bill Yates. Note that the end of Side A is marred by tape speed problems, making these songs rather unlistenable; Side B begins with "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" in good sound, making up for the poor fidelity of this tune at the end of Side A.
