(Thanks, man....): I had a strong feeling going in that we were in for a treat, but this evening's show so far exceeded even these high expectations that for once I am at a loss for words. The vibe was extraordinary ("Smiling faces . . . warm embraces").... The BK4 (or BK3+T, if you prefer) were terrific.... Highlights were "Franklin's Tower" (oh man . . . this show is gonna be good), "Peggy-O" (stunning . . . Can you believe this is happening?!), "If You Only Could" (a new take on a familiar, much loved song), "Pollyanna" (new Robert Hunter song), "Bertha" (smoking . . . the Cradle is rocking), "He's Gone" (I just loved the idea of Tara Nevins singing this song, and it *works*), "Alabama Getaway," and "Althea." Bill Kreutzmann was magnificent on drums and gracious to a most appreciative crowd, his bandmates, and a certain young fan of my acquaintance. It was truly gratifying to see Tara shine, as she did. All in all, an unforgettable evening. Never For Sale. Please support artists that allow taping by buying merchandise & attending shows. Please send setlist corrections to hooknshark@yahoo.com | |||||
