Comment

One of Bob's personal favorite shows. Took place of Haile Selassie's Birthday and include the only live performance of Sun Is Shining. Bob also does a lot of improv like dub on Positive Vibration and alternate vocal form on Crazy Baldheads. There are also new lyrics of Runnin Away. More of the show probably exists.

Notes: This show took place on Haile Selassie's birthday, and is said to be one of Bob's favorite shows. This is only the second version of "Sun is Shining" in circulation I believe, but the show all around has a great feel. Nice AUD sound also, until it gets to "No Woman No Cry" where there is reel damage.

Notes: Source: : Master Soundboard Cassette [recorded by BMW soundman, Dennis Thompson] > ? > Cassette > FLAC > wav Lineage: wav > Izotope RX10 Advanced > DDI Codec > Izotope RX Advanced > Audacity > wav > TLH > FLAC level 16 - converts to 2 audio discs (TRT 1:33:07) Notes: - This is a remaster of the circulating soundboard recording with the incomplete Lively Up Yourself; some versions circulate with a patch from the soundboard of July 21st, 1978 at the Berkeley Greek Theater. - A first run of Iztope RX10 was used for speed correction and the removal of the 60khz hum. The wav files were then exported to go to through DDi Codec twice: the first time was to encode Dolby B, and to adjust the play trim and to put the EQ Conversion to From 70μs to 120μs; the 2nd time was to leave the EQ conversion alone and adjust the Play Trim to -5. The wav files were once again imported to Izotope RX10 Advanced to use the Azimuth and Deconstruct modules , only to exported and normalized via Audacity. - Side B of the soundboard [from No Woman No Cry to the first two minutes of Is This Love] suffers from azimuth/tape fluctuations. - Thanks to Dennis Thompson, Bob Marley, The Wailers, and His Imperial Majesty for making this possible

Notes: Excellent performance, but sound problems starting with "No Woman..." Possibly tape stuck to the record head. It's wobbly. Possible audience recording from "No Woman..." on.
