Gig Notes:
This was the rescheduled gig from December, due to Mark's illness. And So I Watch You From Afar and Vessels were in support. A lot of new songs were played, which was good to see, but the setlist was far too short. In fact, they were scheduled to go off at 2315, but went off ten minutes earlier and never came back. Oh well! Possibly a curfew also affecting the end time?

And So I Watch You From Afar and Vessels were in support. I'm not really familiar with the band, despite seeing them in 2008, but this show was pretty good, despite the set length. A lot of new songs were played, which was good to see, but the setlist was far too short. In fact, they were scheduled to go off at 2315, but went off ten minutes earlier and never came back. Oh well! Possibly a curfew also affecting the end time? A few comments from the crowd indicated that the Dundee gig was poor, though Mike said it was ok, but that Aberdeen was abysmal. Sounds like there were only a few folk there specifically to see the band and the rest talked all the way through the set. Thankfully that was not the case in Glasgow, where the crowd behaved for the most part, and gave them a great reception. Recording notes and sound quality: Bit of eq to remove the overpowering bass from the stack and a 2db increase on the LH channel to even out the levels. band links http://www.oceansize.co.uk/ http://www.myspace.com/oceansizeuk venue link http://www.kingtuts.co.uk/ Please support the band by buying their albums, merch, and by going to see them live. They deserve your cash. Do NOT sell this recording, trade FREELY! No art, make you own. Enjoy! | |||||
