Notes: Source One 017-PMWT There are two recording sources currently know from the first night in Paris. It’s easy to distinguish between the two as one source has a bit of the pre-show music. This post is the version with the pre-show music. This I picked up at the time of the tour on cassette. It has also circulated in trade circles over the years from other rips of the same source material. My original cassette is the better sounding of those I have heard. This is a fairly descent recording only marred somewhat by the random howling of a Frenchmen whose singing is flatter than a crepe and makes me want to turn around and smack him upside the head. Notes: Source Two 018-PMWT There are two recording sources currently know from the first night in Paris. It’s easy to distinguish between the two as one source has a bit of the pre-show music. This post is the version without the pre-show music. This recording source is from the boot “Tripping the Paris Fantastique”. It was a fairly good recording to start off with but yet another boot release that suffered from clipping. I started by reassembling the show in Adobe Audition, applied some clip restoration and automatic phase correction. I renamed the tracks to conform to the rest of this series and split the medley into three tracks for the same reason. The recording sounds a bit bass heavy to my ears and I considered doing some EQ work but in the end decided against it. Enjoy!
