I am not sure why this one was not converted until now because it's a treat to hear. Dave introduces Satellite as a song by Elvis. Boyd says "I love Dave Matthews passionately and I don't give a fuck who knows." Dave's sister Jane is at the show. Dave mentions the 07/31/92 Trax show (a rare Friday evening show) and how he wants 1000 people to show up for it. After almost every song, there is a cut in the crowd noise. Seek Up is cut off at the very end, but seems to be only a partial performance and not the entire song played. These rare older shows have been collected and converted through a collaborative effort to get them into circulation. Sometimes these shows do not have the best sound quality (and maybe that's why they aren't circulated much to begin with), but people should have access to them. Thanks to Dan Pyrik for the CD source used for the conversion. Compiled By Adam Nelson on November 5, 2006 UPDATE by Henry Hart on 11.21.06: This show needed a minor speed/pitch adjustment and very small gaps of silence removed from between each song. I did this in Cool Edit Pro v2.1 and retracked. | |||||

| Notes: | ^ - There is a tape change after Warehouse. All Along the Watchtower is faded in after what seems a few seconds. Comparing to the DMB tape, the stage banter that precedes the tape change is omitted as the conversation is cut off by the change. The DMB tape rebuilds the first notes of Watchtower, but don't seem to be the true first notes of the song based on this tape. Drive In Drive Out fades in at the beginning, same as the DMB tape. The soundcheck contains some cuts here and there between takes, some directly into music. Otherwise it is mostly comprised of the band learning Drive In Drive Out, including some parts being written on the fly that would become part of the standard arrangement. ========== This is a new source to circulation as of fall 2022. It is part of a collection of tapes that Bill Lakenan provided and allowed us to review for sources that didn't make it into the digital age. Huge thanks to Bill for trusting us with his personal DAT tapes to help us provide as many listening opportunity for fans as possible. If you have any sources that we can help review whether it matches extant sources or want help converting and spreading, please reach out to us at dmbalmanac@gmail.com. We are willing to take on as much of the work as we can to share this music that maybe you might be the only one in possession. compiled on 11/25/2022 by dmbalmanac.com | |||||
