Historical Commentary:
Tut Taylor Archive Reel #122 features Tut's friends, The Dixie Gentlemen, performing for an April 9, 1962 'I. E. H. Dixie
Jamboree' radio broadcast. While the exact broadcasting station is unknown, it was likely located in northern Alabama or
southern Tennessee. The Dixie Gentlemen formed in 1956 and were based in Alabama; band members at the time of this broadcast
were famed fiddler Vassar Clements, Herschel Sizemore-mandolin, Rual Yarbrough-banjo, Jake Landers-guitar, and T. R. Campbell
on vocals and in all likelihood, bass.
