The night after (1991-12-22) has been extensively circulated on Bootleg CD's, but not this night. Pixies Live Guide doesn't list an FM source at all, and the only mention of it I could find was here: http://dag.wieers.com/debaser/timeline.php which lists it as a KCRW broadcast. There are a couple pieces of DJ talking, none over music. One at the end of Velouria the DJ says "The Pixies in concert at the Palladium on Sunday Night Live on Live 105," which agrees with the listing I found. Quality is acceptable. Not super clear, but sounds like every other FM > tape > cd-r out there. There are couple flaws in Ed is Dead. The first a few seconds of silence near the beginning. The music fades in afterwards, with apparently no actual cut. And then a few seconds later a voice over says "A political announcement presented by this station without charge." Not sure what that's about. Music comes back afterwards, again, with no cut evident. The bonus tracks are from a completely different source. The only info I have for them is that they were broadcast on The Vault on 1997-10-03. These tracks were included as filler on a Frank Black & The Catholics recording from The Cabaret, Montreal (1998-05-07) - so I assume The Vault is a Canadian radio show. Not sure if more was broadcast, but this is all I have. At the end of Ed Is Dead, the first few chords of Mr. Grieves can be heard before the track ends, so the main source is definitely incomplete. The quality is noticably better, so a more complete version from this source would be very nice. Both sources came as part of a very extensive (100+ cd's) collection of Frank Black and Pixies recordings I have recently acquired from a long-time collector. Most of the stuff has not seen much circulation, and I will endeavor to get through some/most of it in time. I also received 10 or so DVD-r's with FLAC and mp3's of shows, some not included in the cd-r's. The main source was on one such DVD-r. I do not know how these shows were converted from cd-r to flac. The bonus tracks were on a cd-r and was extracted in the normal way using EAC. Enjoy, einzack (2012-02-20)
