| Notes: | I noted that a portion of the main sample from "My Beautiful White Dog" appears at the beginning of Improv III, but aside from this, I cannot hear anything otherwise recognizable in this show. I attended the Toronto Music Gallery show from this same tour on December 13, 2007 which was mere 5 days later. The format of the show was identical in that it was totally improvised and there was no recognizable "songs" performed from any of his solo albums, no cover songs or even vocals. He did actually speak to the audience towards the end of the Toronto show about how challenging it is to improvise an entire evening of music. After about an hour, he turned to the drummer Nikolas Haas which and gave him a visual signal by pointing to his watch which meant "time to end the show". Nikolas misread this "signal" as a time to begin playing flute, which he teased him about. Vincent came out after the show to talk with audience members, signed autographs and appeared to be very pleasant to everyone. At the Toronto show I recall Vincent playing guitar, bass, melodica and a (modified?) mellotron. Eric played a number of guitars and some very strange stringed instruments and did a lot of fiddling with effects boxes. Rebecca played mostly piano samples and other electric keyboard sounds. Nikolas played mostly drums and percussion. I suspect this show was very similar. | |||||
