Headless Cross and Bacchus Baracus were the local supports. Great set from the guys and a good airing for material from Warble Womb and a few old favourites, including some great jamming on Beyond The Fields and Sleepy Silver Door. I love the tone Jason gets from his rig and Steve's Rickenbacker playing is always good to hear. Also good to see Mark back on drums, having recorded the first two albums. Jason broke a string a couple of songs in. Not sure why there was no encore, but would guess it was due to one of the following; curfew (the bar was already shut), they were not coming back on anyway, or lastly, the pathetic response from the crowd for an encore, which was surprising, as the band got a great response throughout the set. A brief round of polite applause with a couple of people shouting out for more. Then silence. C'est la vie! Recording notes and sound quality: Recorded from near the front, about centre. Due to the small PA stacks at either edge of the stage, the vocals are a bit low in the mix, but Jason's vocal delivery is kind of hard to understand anyway. Lots of sound directly from the guitar and bass amps, plus the drum kit, so it sounds pretty good. The volume was boosted from a very conservative low by +18db, but that's all. band links http://www.deadmeadow.com/ https://www.facebook.com/pages/Dead-Meadow-Official/177062599000500 venue link http://broadcastglasgow.com/ Please support the band by buying their albums, merch, and by going to see them live. They deserve your cash. Do NOT sell this recording, trade FREELY! No art, make you own. Enjoy!
