Notes: In December of 2011, a friend of mine asked me if I wanted to see the Stooges with him at the Warfield in San Francisco. I only knew a few songs, but of course I said I'd go. He was very excited to see the opening band, Le Butcherettes, and needed to be up front for them. I knew nothing about them at all, but they ended up being one of my favorite new live bands of the last few years. I was in Europe for most of last year and the first few months of this year, and Bosnian Rainbows (a newer band with a couple members of Le Butcherettes) did a fairly extensive European tour last Fall. I tried to figure out a way to go to one of the shows, but it just never worked out. They played a lot of places I went, but never when I was there. So, I had to go to this when I saw it happening. The night ended up being pretty interesting, because I found myself with tickets to this and also to Blondie and X a little outside Seattle, and I managed to see all 3 bands with this one closing my night. Good time. Sound's pretty good. Samples below.
