Comment
The show begins with Mark welcoming everyone back to Maui and by taking a video
of the audience giving shaka and greetings to Mookie who couldn't make it to
the islands this tour.
It was strange to not have Mookie on keys and vocals but Jason did a superb job
filling in.
After Deep Ellem Blues, David told the story of Deep "Elm" and what it's become today.
Almost the entire crowd went outside after set 1. The set break lasted only about 20 minutes
even though we had the "show starts about a half hour from now" rap. As a result, there were
only about 10 people inside when the band came out on stage and started tuning/warming up.
Pete started playing around with the bass line from "Spoonful". Wally started to join in.
Before long, the entire band turned it into an extended "noodling" type of jam.
There was no encore.
David Nelson - Guitar,Vocals
Barry Sless - Guitar, Pedal Steel
Pete Sears - Bass, vocals
Wally Ingram - Drums
Jason - Keyboard
