01. The Messenger - 03:46.12
02. For the Beauty of Wynona - 04:39.00
03. Still Water - 05:48.63
04. The Maker/River Rise - 04:29.25
05. Unbreakable Chain - 03:37.12
06. O Marie - 02:47.13
07. Rocky World - 02:40.12
08. Brother LA - 04:06.38
09. Irish Melody - 03:30.24
10. The Messenger * - 04:20.62
11. The Maker * - 04:20.13
12. Rocky World * - 02:40.73
13. Rain Weather ** - 03:48.61
14. Elle Est Bonne Et Belle ** - 02:46.06
15. Instrumental (?) ** - 04:23.51
* - These tracks are either from studio sessions, or else they
are from a soundcheck prior to the live performance (I have seen
them labelled as both)
** - The last three tracks do not appear on most copies of this
Lanois show. As far as I can tell they are probably from singles,
since this is where "Rain Weather" appears a couple times, along
with "Elle Est Bonne Et Belle". Perhaps tracks 10 through 15
are all from a special studio session, or some from singles, or
something else altogether.
****************************************************************
Please contact me if you know anything else about this disc. I'm very
interested in tracking down more information on it -- especially what
the instrumental track 15 is, as well as the origin of tracks 10-15.
Also, any additional information on the venue and on the show would be
a blessing to receive!

| Notes: | French Canadian slide guitarist. Called "the most important record producer to emerge in the Eighties" by Rolling Stone, Daniel Lanois has worked with U2, Peter Gabriel, Brian Eno and Bob Dylan. Stressing emotional vibrancy over the technical aspects of making albums, Lanois has recorded in such unlikely settings as castles and dairy barns in his efforts to elicit honest, spontaneous performances. This show has previously circulated as the liberated bootleg "Cool Water". Thanks J | |||||
