| Notes: | (1st song using Sennheiser MKH406)* Nakamichi CR7A w Dolby (azimuth aligned, bias @ 70usec) > Korg MR2000-s @ 1 bit 5.6 MHz DSDIFF AudioGate (24-96) > iZotope RX6 advanced > CD Wave > Korg Aqua (16-44) > TLH The MKH406 mics are directional and much better sounding but something was going on and they were cutting out during Sammy Davis Jr's opening set. Fixes were attempted during the break but by Frank's second song the problem started again. Lucky there were backups prepared so only that song was lost in the microphone swap. The 2002e Sennheiser mics are omni-directional and pick up the crowd around them much more but have a real nice low end. Being outdoors you can hear helicopters flying nearby a couple times and Frank even makes comments about it. The tape flip was after "Sunshine" and just before "My Way" and some applause was inserted to smooth out an abrupt break. Rex's memory is foggy on this one but these facts seem to fit with what was on the raw recording. He remembers bringing his Dad to this show which was a really cool thing to do. Many thanks to Rex for loaning me his precious masters and to ethiessen for the great jewel box artwork For historical reference only and not intended for resale or any commercial use EnjoyÖ -M- (July 2020) FLYING M PRODUCTIONS | |||||
