"Tip of the Iceberg" liberated bootleg

From the Digital Rush Experience:
The only "real" soundboard of a GUP show to become available so far. Only 20 copies of this show were made and released for sale. It is certainly one of the scarcest Rush bootlegs out there, as only a handful of people were able to purchase a copy. Although it's not as bright and clear as the GUP video cloned discs, it is definitely a genuine soundboard with some rare tunes (Kid Gloves, The Body Electric, Between The Wheels).

Notes: "Cool Under Fire" Great soundboard from the Grace Under Pressure tour. Not a full show but has a funny mess-up by Geddy during Red Barchetta. Audience is buried quite a bit in the mix but still a rare soundboard that also includes Kid Gloves which was hardly ever played.

Notes: "Grapes On The Dresser" - eekalir rework of Cool Under Fire (TRT 1:19:19) Okay, lots to do to fix this recording... First I reconnected each file into one big 700 mb block. Then i tested and affected the entire recording with the following plugins in Adobe Audition 3.0: First and foremost, I Zeroed-out (absolutely) the DC Bias discrepancies that were rampant on each track... Then Multiband Compressor to give the drums and bass some RUSH BALLS and warm tube modeled analog awesomeness, Quick Filter to adjust levels and tweak EQ slightly, Hiss Redux because at high volumes the hiss just gets to be too much, Re-indexing duh, De-clicking between tracks, a little Reverb to bring the show to the edge of wetness, then finally, a Notch Filter to get rid of the 60 cycle HUMMMMMM between each track (only). I also fixed the beginning of Spirit of Radio so that the volume is constant, not faded in. Okay, before you say hey man quit clouding the trade pool, say something else, because if anyone has a licence to tweak this, it's someone who was actually there at the show that took pictures and still has a stub to prove he went. OH THAT's ME!!!

Notes: Sounding just a tad muddy, this is still a great 80's show from the Grace Under Pressure Tour. It amazes me that just 3 guys can make all this beautiful noise.
