| Notes: | very good audience recording, lots of tracks from their then latest album Light of Day 554 MB taper's/uploader's notes: "Known Faults: -none As Slowburn and I collaborated on his masters and upcoming releases, selfishly this one jumped out as a personal request. It likely would have been relegated down the release list but The Brandos were one of those bands that landed in my ears in the late 1980's and their first release "Honor Among Thieves" still appears in my play rotation in 2022. Slowburn gives us his thoughts or lack thereof around taping this one: The Brandos? I know I had the first two albums but the main draw for me was that two members from The Del-Lords were half the band this time. With Scott Kempner and Frank Funaro joining for The Light of Day album and short tour I was not gonna miss this show. I had taped The Del-Lords a few times already. Including their very first European concert in Lund back in 1989. Almost 30 years later I can't say I have very strong recollections from this show. KB sounds maybe half full, thinking 300 or so, but can't really remember. Listening to the recording I'm sure I was enjoying the music though. Probably having too many beers and hoping there wasn't an extra encore so I could head for the loo. The great thing about taping at KB back then was that often at least a couple of people in the crowd would know I was taping when they saw me and brought unsolicited beers during the show since they knew I couldn't head for the bar. I have no clue how many Brandos recordings there are but if you're a fan this one is good enough that you should want it. This show isn't even listed at setlist.fm. Seems unlikely I ever traded it so probably uncirculated. As always thanks to mjk5510 for getting these out. Artwork included... mjk5510 and Slowburn" | |||||
