| Notes: | Zorch opened for Bosnian Rainbows in the smaller Bronze Peacock Room, located next to the main venue on the third floor of the House of Blues complex in Houston Texas. Eyeing the two modest PA speakers mounted at an angle, I sat leaning against the wall to rest my feet. Then I was told that I was required to stand. Hmm. Oh well, at least the waiter downstairs was good. For the Zorch set I stood centered in the room closer to the stage, but I was in front of any "Sweet spot" the measely PA speakers were providing, so the vocals are a little low. For the Bosnian Rainbows set I moved a little further back. The mix was a little better, but the sound was overall more boomy and echoey. I used light compression on the Zorch set. For the Bosnian Rainbows set I first boosted the high end, then completed a normalization and a light compression pass. Enjoy! | |||||
