Center/Sub Channel
Tapers: Henry Hart & John Stanfield
Location: section 3, row W (we think), seats 27 & 28
Source: DPA 4061 > Sound Devices MP-2 > Sony SBM-1 >
Sony M1 (left and right mixed to mono)
Conversion: Sony M1 > Audiowerk 2 > Cool Edit Pro v2.0

Our seats this night were so far back that, eventhough a kmi84
front channel tape was made, we decided to use a better source
for this mix.

Front Channels
Taper: Paul Chrostowski
Location: ORTF pointed at right stack 16' high,
sec 1 row R seat 11 about 13th row
Source: Schoeps CCM4V cardioids > Schoeps K5LU XLR >
Lunatec V2 > Audio Magic Presto II RCA > Tascam DA-P1
Conversion: PCM-R500 > Sek'd Prodif+ > Samplitude Producer 2496 v6.0 >
CDWAV v1.71 (resampled from 48KHz by Samplitude using
Ultra High 1 setting, no DAE)

Mix/Encoding
The .wav files were appended and synced in Adobe Audition v2.0,
tracked with CD Wave and encoded with Surcode DVD DTS v1.0.23.
All files were left as .wav files due to the fact that encoding
them to .flac only made them 10% smaller.

Within this folder is a .jpg of a picture taken during this
show of all the gear we used to make these 5.1 recordings.
What a great weekend!

The making of these 5.1 recordings during the start of the
Summer 2002 tour was some great fun. It is of great personal
satisfaction that the 4+ year wait for a DTS encoder and the
completion of this project has come to an end. The process
of creating these multi-channel mixes is long and tedious,
so we hope you all enjoy!
