The version of Cold Rain & Snow is NOT from the 12-23-70 show.
Its from 10-04-70-the Janis Joplin death show. I personally recorded the 10-04-70 and the version of Cold Rain & Snow was put on the end of 12-23-70. I was at the 12-23-70 show. There was no more than 100 people at winterland that night. Don't let them fool ya.

On the recent Charlie Miller seed for this date, the info file says: "This is the complete set played on 12/23/70 at Winterland. It does not include the four-song excerpt ("Hard to Handle" through "Cold Rain and Snow") from 12/17/70 that was long thought to be a part of this show. At the end, Phil says: "Good night, folks. Merry Christmas and God bless you!" And Jerry adds: "Thanks for helping us bail out the Bear!"
The show had been billed as a benefit for the Montessori School featuring the "Acoustic Dead" together with Hot Tuna and the New Riders of the Purple Sage. "This is how it exists on Bear's cassettes," wrote Dick on a note attached to the cassette copy. "I can't be responsible for how Deadbase has the songs listed."
So should the date on this seed be changed to 12/17/70 with the venue etc modified in the info file?

I was told that the songs on this source are actually from 10/4/70 and 10/5/70. Compare the Cold Rain and Snow.
