FROM GALACTIC'S WEBSITE:
"Galactic's Freako in Rico was a huge success as the three night run in the small mountain town of Rico, Colorado, completely sold out. What is expected to become an annual event, was a raging three night music marathon, as Galactic and three hundred of their die-hard fans, from places as remote as France, got down and funky at the intimate Rico Theatre. In celebration of this exciting event, Galactic recreated each of their studio albums, in the live context, performing one on each night. On the first night, the show was centered around the material from the band's debut album, Coolin' Off, which included several tunes that the band had never performed live. On the next night, they recreated Crazyhorse Mongoose in its entirety and then rounded out the run on night three with Late For The Future. With free camping available just a short walk from the club, after the shows ended, the party moved down the street where it continued several hours into the morning. The band hopes to make the celebration in this beautiful town an annual mid-summer event for many years to come. The band completed their Colorado run with appearances in Steamboat Springs and Denver for the Lodo Music Fest."
