- "Seven Walkers" and "New Orleans Crawl" are new Robert Hunter-penned songs for this band
- Set 2 outro includes the beginning of the "Different Strokes" theme played over the PA as a tribute to Gary Coleman who died  earlier in the day

This was a really sweet show in many ways -- a unique pairing of my favorite bassist with Bill K, one of the only drummers who can play "loose" and "tight" at the same time, and a swampy  guitar player/singer with tons of soul.  Cool song selection combining Grateful Dead classics, New Orleans covers (George's territory), blues covers/sprirtuals/traditional numbers (Papa Mali's territory), and originals written by Robert Hunter specificially for this band.  If you want to boil the whole thing down to one song to sample, just give a listen to Junco Partner, the encore -- you'll get the idea.  Too bad they didn't do Papa Mali's rendition of Guilded Splinters -- that's one that never fails to impress!

Go see them when they come to your town!
