Okay, before we get started, no one is more annoyed than me that I missed the first set. I had been up for 18 hours when the show started, and I thought that I had tickets for Row K (11 from the stage) when I actually had tickets for Section K, 5 rows from the back wall. In keeping with the Brothers' policy of taping from your seat vice a dedicated taper's section, this is the location - but at least it was dead center. As far as not recording the first set, I simply forgot to hit the start button. So, I'm a moron but I can beat myself up - you don't need to.
Having said that, this turned out much better than I expected, especially since it's my first attempt at recording. But I'm open to constructive criticism, you just need to remember that I know where each and every one of you live and I have "special" skills... :-)
Here you go!
01 Melissa (Gregg on acoustic guitar, no Marc)
02 Come and Go Blues
03 That's What Love Will Make You Do (w/Larry McCray on guitar)
04 Ain't Wastin' Time No More
05 Good Morning Little School Girl > You Don't Love Me (Ron Holloway on sax)
06 Black Hearted Woman >
07 JaMaBuBu (w/Oteil on timpani and drums)
08 Black Hearted Woman (Reprise)
09 Mountain Jam (Reprise) *
10 Encore Call (Crowd)
11 Whipping Post
* Mountain Jam opened the show for set one. Everything in between was a "Brothers Sandwich".
Hopefully, this will do until the real one comes along...
