Alright, it's time to give a little back. DIME has been the all-you-can-eat buffet to top them all. But it
ain't nothin' unless we clean out our closets, attics, and garages and share the bounty of tapes, discs,
reel-to-reel, what have you. So with that, here's a little something for the Feats fans out there. Never
before circulated, from my own master.

Little Feat returned to the Hudson Valley for a second show within the span of six weeks months in the summer
of 1999. I posted my recording of the Poughkeepsie show (1999-07-16) a couple of years ago. Now, I've finally
mastered these two minidiscs that I've had sitting in my archive for a dozen years. Cripes, time flies! And
Richie Hayward is gone, too?! But the music lives on.

Somebody in New York's state capitol got the great idea to hire Little Feat for an end of summer free show as
a gift to anyone who would brave the 60s concrete vision called Empire Plaza. Surrounded by gleaming granite
government buildings it may not have been the coziest of settings, but the weather was great, the atmosphere
was joyful and the band-as well as openers Levon Helm and his Barn Burners-brought their finest rootsy,
American  groove to the party.

I placed myself squarely center, about ten rows up from the stage in pretty sweet spot for recording. I also
taped a 20 minute chunk of openers Levon & the Barn Burners ripping through some Muddy and Big Joe Turner tunes,
but they are on the DIME NAB list. After the show, the members of Little Feat were more than good sports and
signed autographs for anyone who bought their then-current release, Under The Radar. It means a lot to simply
have had the chance to say "thank you for the music." Not much else to add, except enjoy, share, but don't sell
or buy this recording!

Richie Hayward, Lowell George, R.I.P.

Featroller note: thanks to matlin for recording and uploading at dimeadozen.org. Nice job -a rowdy feat-
friendly crowd doesn't interfere much with a terrific performance. It's more than worth it just for Ain't
Nothin' You Can Do, an unreleased and underperformed Shaun Murphy song from that era.
