Location: Front left corner of SBD (~10 ft. LOC), ~8high (going off memory here), mounted with Dave's small reference mic stand, which sat just along the edge of the soundboard, just to his left, if that makes sense.

Recorded by Ryan Frank, assisted by Jeff "Muska" Purcell

* - Beginning of show through 2:27 of Note Blue was recorded on the Sony's internal mics. This was due to a late setup caused mostly by the owner of the venue, who would not let me clamp to the metal railing on the balcony (and was a real ass about it). Then, like an idiot, but mostly because I didn't know what quality the internal mics would produce, I switched over to the AKG's as soon as I could, i.e., just before Medeski's organ solo. (Their new sound guy, also named Dave and also really cool and helpful, actually let me use his small reference mic stand for my mics. Thank you, Dave!) As a result of my poor switchover, there is an initial dropout followed by static/plug in noises from 2:27-51. There is one additional plug adjustment noise at 4:50-52.

Note: I did not attempt to clean up the plug in noises because I'm not very familiar with that process. Further, I think the R channel could use a small boost to compensate for my LOC position. It bothers me, but one can achieve a similar effect by panning their audio player slightly to the R, if need be. I figured that I'd finally get this recording out here and then worry about any edits later. Feel free to send comments/criticism to ryantfrank AT gmail DOT com.
