I listened to these disks on my stereo and said this is what all shows should sound like. It's a very clean, crisp source. A round of applause to the taper here! Great work!

Definitely a perfect seed to spread. Every aspect of these SHN's are top of the line. Kudos to Nick and Bill, and everyone spreading these discs.

While the sound quality of this shn is great, as a concert recording it is far from perfect. I like a recording that gives a good feel for "being there," but the amount of crowd noise on this one is downright distracting. The hum of people talking and the occasional yelling and screaming are far too present (for a perfect example, listen to the Makisupa). Since we don't know how the mics were positioned (height? XY? ORTF?), it's hard to guess as to the reason.

The taper section is right behing the VIP boxes and that's probably what you hear. The mics were about 10' high or so if I remember correctly.

Fun show but I feel that OTS tapes are very sub-par to a lot of other venues.
