Mark Lynn's notes:
6/3/97 Classic Ampitheatre:
I was going to the show but was more interested in partying and walking in at the last minute than setting up early to tape. A guy named John Oakes who was dating my room mate borrowed some gear I had laying around at the time and really wanted to tape so I told him to go for it. I walked in at the aforementioned last minute to see him set up in the perfect spot DFC. Only thing was rather than just running the NAK 300s straight up(which would have made a nice tape) to my surprise he had the shotgun bodies attached. The band was walking on stage and it was too late to do anything about it. That's why this tape sounds so fucking weird(ever wonder what DMB might sort of sound like behind the stage if you were recording it in front of the stage). But I'm not complaining because he got it done and this(I think) is the only tape that got made that night and the only show John ever really taped with a full rig all by himself.
Thanks to Mark Lynn for providing the DAT for conversion and getting this tape circulated for the first time
