Acquired this set of FLACs via international snail mail trade.  Is a soundboard recording but i know nothing else regarding the lineage.  Checked the spectral and frequency analysis in CoolEdit and appears lossless.  Vocals are a bit high in the mix sometimes but sound quality is otherwise fab.  This show was during LOW's second pass thru Texas during the 'Long Division' tour.

ADDENDUM from Goldenband:

Total time: 73:37

Probable lineage:  master DAT (soundboard) > 1st gen cassette > CDR(3-4) > FLAC

This is a very nice soundboard recording from Low's Spring 1996 tour.  It's probably taken from a 1st gen cassette copy made from the master DAT, and then transferred to CDR.

(In fact, since the track times are the same, I'm guessing that it descends from my own CDR copy of this show, which I got from Scott M. of Transona Five.  That CDR bit the dust several years ago, so I'm particularly grateful to rudicollins for uploading this on BitTorrent.)

It sounds unusually good for a cassette copy.  The only downside is that, while the tape speed starts out exactly right, it eventually slows down, and gets a little draggy by the end (2-3%).  Hopefully someday the DAT master will resurface, and we can all upgrade.
