please, another FOB mistaken for SBD?
Date: 10/16/2002
Nope, this is a FULL-FLEDGED soundboard! Bravo to whoever released this gem (except you missed the "best show of '97" by one day: 12/6)
Date: 10/16/2002
User: Grimjack
Definitely a soundboard. Sounds like its fully digital as well. Beautiful mix and a great show taboot. Now....where's set II of 12/6/97? :)

What appears to be a click on d01 track 05 at ~2:33 is from the PA...compare to FOB KM140 where the exact same "click" happens at 2:34 [therefore the click is not a transfer error!]

would anyone like to share this on shnapster or furthur?

User: TWATTS
Rumour on PCP is that this is a band leak... Thanks PH!

I go to school at Wright State University, and see the Nutter Center every day. Technically, the Nutter Center is in Fairborn, Ohio ... not Dayton.

... & yet the ticket stub says Dayton.

this is now on shapster, not sure about further, but is such a perfect seed, thanks to those responsible :)

it is up on FurthurNET, too >>

This HAS to be a band leak...as is just about every SBD from '92 on...The shocking thing is that appears to be no cassette generation on this one, as is the case with most of the leaked stuff...This shn set has very beautiful sound, you can hear just the right ammount of crowd and the levels are nice and HOT, but not too hot like the Rochester show from just 4 days later (yet another band released SBD I bet)...Great show to be leaked :-)

I would suspect a cass generation... sounds similar to 12/11/97 in that respect
Date: 10/18/2002
User: Mr.Marmar
Definately no Cass gen on this baby...Also, anyone notice that in the middle of tube you can hear Fish ask if Trey wants to start the jam back up...have noticed some "pops" here and there that may be transfer related, haven't had the chance to zero in on em yet to check em out on my DAW...Still a darn good recording....
Date: 10/19/2002
Please keep comments on the topic of quality of seed (ie tracking issues, pops, clicks, or comments on its excellence) All other comments should be taken to the message board or elsewhere. Thank you.

Marmar,

I've noticed some pops as well, mostly in the first set. There are a couple in JJLC, and one or two in Ice and Tube. I think most seem to be isolated to the right channel. Regardless, even if the pops are not transfer-related and can't be corrected, a fine show and a spectacular recording.

I'm not too familiar with Phish's sound, but there seems to be some feedback starting in d1t1 @ 4:07, and fading off at around d1t2 @ 4:03. In the beginning it sounds pretty bad, but after about 10 seconds it gets rather low. Can somebody else confirm this?
Date: 10/24/2002
User:
no pops and or problems with mine
Date: 10/25/2002
User: scottz
can someone who has given this a critical listen please post timings for any odd sounds such as pops or clicks - we can soundforge them out!
Date: 11/03/2002
User: scott z
disc one odd spots:
d1t5 - 2:33, d1t7 - :19, d1t9 - 7:34, d1t10 - 2:03, 8:355 and 11:10.

Odd looking waveforms at those points.. don't look like typical extraction errors....?

User: Fikus
Scott, check against an AUD source if you have one...i found one of the errors to be in the PA because it checked on both the aud as well as the sbd....

Now Untradeable? Officially Released LivePhish http://www.livephish.com/show.asp?show=274
Time for Mr. Shapiro to revise the trading policy to account for leaked soundboards?
Date: 02/04/2003
User: Mike
Is there any difference in sound between this seed and the released SBD's from Livephish.com?
Date: 03/24/2003
User: twatts
Until Kevin at PH resolves the problem with band leak SBDs vs. the new Live Phish stuff, perhaps we should forego the trading of this particular source in favoring of BUYING this one: http://db.etree.org/shninfo_detail.php?shnid=16162

I also think this ought to apply to the UberSeed#1: http://db.etree.org/shninfo_detail.php?shnid=12669

I know I'm splitting hairs on this one but isn't the LivePhish release be a superior seed to this (no cdr > eac)? Since this seed has a CDR > EAC lineage, technically wouldn't it still be tradeable?
Date: 06/28/2003
User:
... yeah, but...
Considering there are maybe 1,000 tradeable shows vs.
40 + non-tradeable, maybe it would be a jesture of respect
to the band to just go ahead and pay for this one.
Or not.
Date: 02/06/2005
User: phishboyd
true, but the band policy now allows for recordings of officially released material to now be traded, and i think this qualifies regardless of the audio source...
