Ho-hum. This is the ultimate time-travel GD recording. Ledgendary hi-fidelity AUD recording puts you in the room with a very energetic, young GD, nearly 30 years ago. This is a complete must-have for anyone. ANYONE. Performance, all through, is nothing less than top-notch-to-definitive. I love this show. A lot.

The taper found the "G-Spot" like I've never heard before on this recording.

excellent!

The source info here has been corrected to that for the known circulating copy, in line with the Compendium, Deadlists, etc. Thanks to Joe Jupille for catching this. Thanks especially to Rob B. for the stellar recording!

BTW, the Hard to Handle from this same recording can be heard on the commercial release Fallout from the Phil Zone ("Phil's Picks" ;) ).

This is absolutely the finest audience recording I have ever heard. Better than any of the top shelf stuff made with DATs and expensive mics in the last 15 years. You won't find many audience recordings in my shn collection. To each, their own. However, this one is an exceptional accopmlishment. Rob Bertrando and friends nailed it.

lineage should be MAR>R>D>SHN/CD, taped by Harv Kaslow; circulates from Rob Bertrando's 1st gen reel. mic and deck info are correct (Sony ECM-22P mics > Sony 770 reel deck).

Great recording, great show. Only downside is the trippin' fool who keeps yelling "whoo-hoo" in every chorus of Casey Jones, over and over again, like it was the missing lyric...

ha ha - I love that!
This was one of my first tapes and I've always sung the woo-woos when listening to other Caseys. Different strokes I guess.

The only problem with this recording is that it is too fast. I've seeded a pitch corected version http://db.etree.org/shninfo_detail.php?shnid=30224

Did Jerry *really* drop down on his knees for his solo in "Hard To Handle"?????? I don't think we'll ever know for sure.

I was at this show - the memories are hazy - sorry. One of my buddies did mention something about Jerry like "did you see what he just did" - it was a long time ago.
