Arriving during soundcheck, I was blown away by the volume. I go to a lot of show and know "loud" when I hear it and this was Loud. Thankfully, soundcheck was just ending as I and a couple of other tapers were setting up our rigs. Rich was nice enough to come by and say hi, take a few pics and sign some CD's. The whole band and crew were all very down to earth and pleasant.
Sound in the Media Club isn't that great and the low ceilings and the small space doesn't help. We really were set up dead center and with the mics up at about 8.0' high we were in the best possible place for taping. I'm happy to say that the great quality comes through on this recording! The band themselves were on fire and some of the songs blew my mind. I never wanted Cerdes to end. After the gig a band member requested a copy and confirmed that they felt they had a great show.
