Known Flaws of this SHN

moe 11-8-02D1T01
This track contains a dropout, this is on all masters for this source.  The dropout
occurs just before moe. took the stage.  I did not cut any time out of this dropout,
becuase I felt it would be easier to splice in another source in the future if no
time was missing.

moe 11-8-02D1T02
This track as some left right panning at the beginning, and also a level adjustment
shortly into the song.  Again this is on the master, no attempt has been made to
re-adjust the levels.  After this point levels remain constant.

moe 11-8-02D3T05
This is the track between Set II and the Encore.  A disc flip occurs, NO music or
moe.banter is missing.  The tracks were recombined at the time of transfer.

The levels on the show are low.  After reading about several articles about normalizing
programs I decided NOT to run one to bring the levels up, the levels are exactly the same
as on the Master.

Why oh why would anyone archive a show where the source was origially recorded to dat. We all know that md's compress, and that a copy of the dat will turn up, so why seed this at all?

Hmm. . .don't want to leave a e-mail w/your comments. That's OK. I stoped wasting my breath, if you don't want to do the research on the different formats, I won't try and make you. Notice how nothing was trying to be hid, if you don't like the source, don't get it, that's why text files are great (and SHN's) becuase you can choose before you get the show if you want it or not. It's a hobby, which I enjoy, there's some shows (SCI, Acoustic Syndicate, Donna The Buffalo, Derek Trucks, and more) that wouldn't exist if it wasn't for me. . .I'm sure this is the case all over the country with all sorts of bands. I share my music with those who want it, if you don't EMA.

While it is commendable that you tape and love your hobby, you will find when you read the ETREE seeding guidelines that quality is most important:

http://wiki.etree.org/index.php?page=SeedingGuidelines

To quote: "Quality is very important to the members of our community. Before you seed a show to etree.org, please consider this question: IS THIS THE BEST POSSIBLE SOURCE? A copy of a show may circulate to hundreds or thousands of people over time, so IT'S A BAD IDEA TO PUT AN INFERIOR SEED INTO THE TRADING POOL. Do some Quality Control..."
