NOTES

: Jerry's guitar super low in mix through Alabama, pretty much sorted out by Greatest Story.

: First few notes of Peggy-O cut

: First couple notes of CR&S cut

: Splice near end of Lost Sailor (apparently tape flip in an earlier gen)

: Crackly noise for a second or two at the beginning of Black Peter (sounds like equipment problem)

: Cool Edit Pro used for tracking and to apply noise reduction to reduce considerable cassette hiss.

: The '81 European Gift story:  Several years ago, a friend of mine had a job at a very large airplane manufacturer near Seattle.  One day, someone he'd never spoken with walked up to him in the plant and handed him a briefcase, saying only he'd heard my friend was a deadhead.  What he found inside was SBDs of nearly the entire Fall '81 European Tour (the only shows missing were 10/11/81 and 10/15/81 at the Melkweg). I was recruited to dub the tapes for him, and made a set for myself.  Many of these shows are now in circulation with better gens, but this is one of several that don't circulate either at all or as SBDs as of the time of this seeding.  Enjoy, and let's see if the masters surface!

when burning audio discs of this show I realized that the tracks for disc 1 will not fit on a 80 min. disc (total time is 80 min. 57 sec), This disc should be retracked moving DEMI to disc 2

Having recently downloaded this show from Tol's server I discovered that disc 1 does "not" fit on an 80 minute disc.

Maybe the notes for this show should be amended?
