Hello,

Some comments on this show and these sources....
I helped Mike make several of these tapes. The Board used was a highly modified soundcraft 200b 16 channel mixer. We miked the band's equipment (mostly) with our own high end mics - we had some Schoeps over the drum kit, B&K's on trey's guitar and over the organ. The aud mics for this night were AKG C460B w/ omni capsules. I remember these b/c i risked life and limb climbing and hanging them on the walls. We had some other studio mics as well, but it changed nightly, and I don;t really remember the changes / uses.
We used alot of the band's mics as well. The signals for all went to a splitter - and then a snake went to the house, and a snake went to the 200B. We had an effects rack, I don't recall what it was. Recordings were live to 2 track DAT on a SV3700.
This particular night we taped on the band's truck. Several other nights we had a room in the building. halloween '90, Boulder theatre, and Breckenridge i know we had an indoor backstage 'room'. It was a challenge in the building to seperate our mix from house noise.
Loads of fun - everyone run out and buy a V3 now - Mike's a great guy, and I had a great time being his helper on these. I was only 19, and as Mike's helper, and being 'with the band', I got into some 21 and over shows. Phish was great fun in a small arena. I haven't seen them in a larger environment than this.
Glad they circulate, too.
