Grateful Dead
Avalon Ballroom
San Francisco, CA
October 12, 1968
This has the most complete version of Jerry's "please let go of your bodies" intro from Barry Glassberg's reel source and was used to patch the excellent sounding Charlie Miller version from SHNID #115593. It also includes the complete "thank you Mr. Garcia" audience comment after Death Don't which was truncated on Charlie's version.
Source Info: SHNID #115593 > Adobe Audition 3.0 > Flac16
Notes:
- Glassberg's reel > CD-R'(s) supplies patches for the pre-Dark Star stage banter plus the Morning Dew. Transfer info unknown. CD-R provided by Chuck Reynolds and ripped with dBpoweramp v14.
- Thanks Chuck!
- This Morning Dew used to circulate on old cassettes long before the digital era. It is uncertain if the Dew is really from this show but I kept it as an homage to the long-gone cassette trading days! If you think it does not belong you can easily not include it with whatever playback method you use.
- A very light hiss reduction was applied to the Stage Banter patch only.
- The patched material ran fast so I adjusted the pitch to match the main source.
- Levels were adjusted on the patches and a few track transitions were cleaned up.
- All edits done with Adobe Audition 3.0.
- Flac level 8 encoding by Trader's Little Helper.
- ID tags edited with Tag&Rename.
- D. Winters - 06/02/17.

Morning Dew is from a different show which is why I didn’t include it on my source.
