On May 25, 1996, The Mermen once again returned to the KFJC studios for another in what has become a running string of live performances from the South Bay Area college radio station.
Hosted by the well-known surf music authority (and regular KFJC DJ) Phil Dirt, The Mermen performed new material and did a midshow interview break (which featured rare pre-drummer Mermen tracks). This special concert also marked the launch of The Mermen's fourth cross country tour, for which they departed immediately after the performance.
