Source: LivePhish.com (DSBD) Original Files came as WinZip files, without MD5's. MD5s and this info file were created for the purpose of archiving. These files are not meant for trading!!!
Notes on this source: Fixed files on 1/7/2003. Stripped extraneous header information and fixed sector boundaries with shntool. Recreated MD5 files to accompany these revised files. Thus the reason that there are (2) MD5 files, the original (filename_o.md5) and the Fixed (filename_f.md5). Fixed are the correct ones.
Specific notes:
- All files had header information stripped
- Sector boundary fixes: D3T9

* - preceeded by footage from the movie "Castaway" on the jumbotron screens on the scoreboard (scenes in which Tom Hanks's character is yelling and kicks away, then goes to search for his befriended volleyball named "Wilson"); with "Tom Hanks" (actually Page's brother Steve McConnell; see Salon.com if you want explicit confirmation) on guest vocals for the "Blat Boom..." part;
** - "Seven Below" began approximately seven minutes before midnight; during the song a disco ball was lowered from within the scoreboard and it began snowing on stage; several dancers in white with blinking light "stick figure skeletons", dressed as snow creatures (with a vaguely "winter/forest kingdom" fantasy motif, including white costumes with fur and some horned helmets) came out and began circling the band on stage before moving off into the crowd - while in the crowd several grew into large snow angels by adding stilts to their costumes; midway during the song snow began falling on the fans on the floor from a pair of snowmaking rigs on the right and left sides of the scoreboard above the floor; shortly before midnight, the snow angels began shining small spotlights around the crowd, appearing similar to search lights;
*** - at midnight, pyrotechnics spiraled around and behind the stage (some coming from the snowmaking rigs) and enormous white balloons with snow designs were dropped onto the floor.
LivePhish Notes:
- first Phish show since 10/7/00
- new stage setup (Trey in middle, Mike on right, Page facing front)
- debut of Waves, Seven Below, and Walls Of The Cave
- at midnight during Seven Below mystic snow elves danced across the stage and around The Garden as snow fell upon the crowd
- last Mound 11/19/96

These LivePhish Releases sound phenomenal. I would highly recommend them to ANYONE who enjoys Phish.
What is the point of these md5? The original files I purchased does not contain a md5?
Did I purchase a file with errors?
What is with the fix?
Help please.

Errors??? The Phish releases did NOT come with an MD5. This MD5 was created from the download... If you read the comments, you will see that "the MD5s are mearly listed as reference."
However, if you are super-anal (like me) you will notice that there are SBEs and such on the Downloads. These can be repaired with SHNTOOLS and the new MD5 is also listed.
So... Now that you have DLed the LivePhish, you can DL the MD5 from here and verify that you DLed w/o errors (or at least you DL is the same as everybody else in the world). After you do the fix with SHNTOOLs, you can make new SHN files and check the new MD5 against the one here.
Unless you do something screwed up, or there was a download error, the MD5s should be the same for you and me and everybody else!

Since the sector boundry error is on the last track of the last disc, it makes no audible difference. I guess if you are super anal, you could correct it to make you feel better.
