I'm not sure when it fell off.
Thanks to the original uploader/trader/collector.
This is a reworking of that original.
The first one had some problems.
The biggest one being that the two channels were completely
out of phase with one another. I fixed that.
Hopefully that wasn't done on purpose by someone who thought it
gave the music a simulated stereo sound??
This is basically a mono recording, I think there was probably only one mic.
For some reason all of the songs were faded in and out on that share.
Sometimes those fades cut off a few notes and other times it doesn't
sound like much is missing. Why the fades, I don't know??!!
So here I have run all of the songs together and cross faded them.
Now, at times the music sounds like it was performed that way,
other times it doesn't. It's better than having all of those fade outs.
So anyway this is an audience recording and it isn't the best but it's a
really nice show with some out of the ordinary moments.
Here is what is written about this show on the threeviews site.
----------------
This is one of the most unique Weather Report shows I have heard. Many of the performances are unlike those elsewhere. Songs may be in incorrect order.
01. Scarlet Woman
02. Teen Town
03. Portrait of Tracy In the middle of Jaco's solo someone calls for Donna Lee, which they
play later for the one and only time, to my knowledge.
04. Rhumba Mama
05. Directions
06. Barbary Coast/Directions Reprise This is not the Barbary Coast they played on other
dates on this tour. It sounds more like a jam, much slowed down, and with the Barbary Coast
bass figure the only recognizable part of the tune. The song concludes with the ending
from Directions, the previous song.
07. Sophisticated Lady
08. Palladium
09. Harlequin
10. Birdland
11. Band Intros
12. Sax Solo
13. Donna Lee - Jam Wayne introduces this as a song by a man who "was born here, Charlie
Yardbird Parker". Jaco launches into a breakneck version, accompanied only by
percussion. After 2 1/2 minutes the keyboard enters as though they are going to play
Badia, but the rest have no part of it and keep on jamming. Eventually Joe gives up, and
the whole thing morphs into Its About That Time.
14. Its About That Time
