Weather Report - The Jabberwocky Club, Syracuse 1973-06-30 reseed (Includes 5 Samples)
In the early formations of Weather Report the band created a free improv jazz sound. For those of us who were following the band in '73, it is the essence of Jazz fusion. Recorded at The Jabberwocky, Syracuse in June of 1973 this small club recording is purported to be a soundboard. Alas it suffers from heavy tape hiss. Although this era is not as popular as the Zawinul - Shorter - Pastorius lineup that many associate as their signiture sound, this show bears the direction of what that band would become. It is truly a great document of this lineup of Weather Report "Live" in the raw! Many thanks to the original uploader Sweetnighter, and as always Your Comments are Appreciated!

Jazamo Notes:
The Jabberwocky show was originally posted as a soundboard along with the Chicago (Quiet Knight 5-73) FM show. It has been previously listed in dime as FM as well, but there are no DJ intros or commercials. It sounds like there were two 45 minute sets, Track-5 begins the 2nd set. Tracks-6,7,& 9 were listed as "Improvisation" and track-5 as "Band Intros", but almost all are clearly structured songs, possible unreleased ones? I have listed them all as "Unknown Tune". This original fileset audio suffers from heavy tape hiss, and I left it as it is (You do get used to it). You will also hear Mic bumps & reverb units shaking unintentionally, Sony isn't gonna want this source. The original fileset was Shn, but I received this copy as Flac. Renamed Files and new MD5. The set opens with 2 songs featured on Miles Davis "In a Silent way" album.
