Recorded By: K2
Mastering By: K2
Processing: Adobe Audition > wav > TLH > flac @ level 8 - most of the processing related to levels - being near the top of the venue, when the audience came in it came in HOT. After a few tries at riding the levels, I decided to "fix it in post." So many of the applause sections are borrowed from other sections of the recording. This will not be noticeable unless someone tries to sync this audio to video, in which case the applause sections will throw off the timing of the sync between songs. By the way, there are a few clips from this show on YouTube for those who are interested. They were not recorded by this taper.
Notes from the taper:
There is alot I could have done better on this show. My seats were not close, I should have recorded at 24/96, and I should have skipped the Sonic Studios preamp & low cut filter. In particular, I learned that in wide dynamic range situations the PA-6LC2 Pre-Amplifier adds an unnecessarily high noise floor to what might have otherwise been a cleaner digital recording. But this is what I have, so with lessons learned I am sharing it. It has been 8 years since the performance. At the start of the show the director of the organization asked that we please not record because it was being recorded for a live album. I rolled anyway, just in case. After 8 years, still no live album. So here is the music roughly as it sounded from my seat. Always share, never sell. Please keep in a lossless format.
