4. Alumni Blues
5. Lizards
6. The Sloth
7. Mike's Song >
8. I Am Hydrogen >

Show date is not correct, actually this was released in June of 1987. It was a demo recording shopped around to Burlington bars, in hopes of scoring gigs. Part of this were proper studio recordings included on Junta (and omitted here) The rest were undated live tracks: Wilson, Alumni Blues, Lizards, The Sloth, and a STUDIO version of Mikes > H2 > Weekapaug, that is a Junta outtake.
Very rare, and very cool.

Actually, the original source tape had the Junta versions of Fee, Bowie, Fluffhead and Dinner And A Movie, along with this verison of Mikes > Weekapaug.
I'm pretty sure it's a studio outtake or a 4-track demo.

I realize this is ancient history but for the record. I recently was able to transfer an original copy of this demo. This material comes from Side 2. It is not from June of 1987 for two reasons. the Junta tracks on Side 1 were first recorded at the end of 1987 and the live tracks from Side 2 (presented here) are from the following performances. I believe this demo and a few others, were used for the first half of 1989 leading up to the release of Junta.

Wilson (12/10/88 The Red Barn, Hampshire College, Amherst, MA)
Alumni Blues (11/03/88 Molly's Cafe, Boston, MA)
The Lizards (7/23/88 Pete's Phabulous Phish Phest, Underhill, VT)
The Sloth (12/10/88 The Red Barn, Hampshire College, Amherst, MA)
Mike's Song (7/23/88 Pete's Phabulous Phish Phest, Underhill, VT)
