Master Soundboard Reel > Reel to Reel > PCM> DAT > CDR
Master Audience Cassette > Reel to Reel source supplies a patch in "Sugaree" (d1t02)
from 11:14 thru 15:53, a patch in "Row Jimmy" (d1t04) from 8:57 thru 9:47, the first
0:12 of "Sunrise" (d1t06), the first 0:03 of "Estimated Prophet" (d2t04),
a patch in "Eyes of the World" from 14:49 thru 15:02, as well as the final 0:16 of
"Brokedown Palace" (d3t06)
both sources are missing the first few notes of "Bertha" (d2t01)
Disc 1 requires an 80 minute CDR
Flaws: d1t01 "Minglewood Blues", discontinuity @ 2:19, also on source DAT
d3t02 "Wharf Rat" slight static @ 0:13, as well as from 2:55 thru 2:58, also on source DAT
d3t03 "Not Fade Away" slight static @ 2:53 and 4:34. There is some sort of anomaly @13:12 where the music becomes "brighter", there is no discontinuity and it is also present on the source DAT

David Minches did a comparison with his sources and supplied this information:
"FWIW, I compared the soundboard portion of the Clugston/tol version to my unpatched MSR>DAT>CD version and they are the same. I then compared the audience patches of that version to my aud copy (MAR>R>DAT>CD; AKG D220s> Tandberg 10XD) and they are the same too. So, the tol version is MSR>DAT>CD patched with MAR>R>D>CD (AKG D220s> Tandberg 10XD). "

I am working on a very nice upgrade to 6/8/77. This is from the vault master reel and sounds a million times better than the circulating source, which I'm pretty sure came from a 1st gen reel. This new copy doesn't have any of the cuts that the circulating copy has, except I think there is a reel flip in Eyes. All other reel flips come between tunes and no music or tuning is lost. It should be heading to Tol later tonight....cm
