I'd prefer that the opening crowd noises are not removed,
but I could honestly care less. I feel it helps recreate
the experience. Also, if this source is converted to any
other format(ie- .MP3, .RA,...), please include this file
and add any changes to the source.
Thanx & Enjoy!

Set II fades in just seconds before the crowd begins singing Happy Birthday. I was caught off guard, but its all there. Enjoy! I did!

This source is wonderful! It's really nice to see high quality dats get transfered! This should be our standard!
Date: 10/06/2000
Note that the tracklist is incorrect: d1t4 should be "Maze" and not "Rift" as is stated in the text file.

The info file has been changed to show d1t04 as Maze and not Rift as originally shown...thanks Ross!

Tel me this...how is it possible to have mics centered and split?? If they are split 20', by defenition thy are not centered. If split around the dfc position, they would be split 20'...10' on each side of center, but a 20' split is not center...

I think split 20' and centered is an oxymoron, no??

Just wanted to give Eric and any others a little insight as to what I meant by centered and split 20 feet. The taper's section was about 40 to 50 feet wide. Pretty big and really crowded. Anyway, there was a 20 foot metal section running down the center of the TS and the center of the arena. I had a mic placed on either side of that metal thing. Therefore, I get centered and split 20 feet as apposed to split 20 feet, 10 feet left of center or whatever. Big difference between center (which they weren't) and centered (which they were). Pretty simple with a little imagination! -Bryan

Bryan, I knw that's what you meant...I just felt that people may be misled by what was written. Many of the shows this tour had the ots split by the sbd, and splitting the mics at either side is a very common...I just thaught it should be clarified. Thanks.

Disc 1 track 1 and disc 2 track 3 (both of the crowd tracks) do not end on sector boundaries.

I'd take that to mean there's also a step missing in the source lineage, since it claims to have been split with CDWav
and have gone directly to SHN from there.
Since most tracks are ok, it probably was split with CDWav initially, but some other program was used to split out the crowd tracks that
didn't know about sector boundaries, and then that was SHN'd.

A very solid recording; great levels, great bass, and great treble. Everyone can be heard wonderfully, this is a high quality source. Cheers to Bryan!

Great source, great levels. Anybody else have a pop at 2:00 of d1t4? Haven't heard any other sources for this show, but I'm fine with this one.
Date: 07/29/2001
Bevdaddy - the pop at 2:00 on d1tr4 i beleieve is just a balloon pop.....one of those annoying things about phish shows after 1998.
