The cut in Harpua is unfortunate. It was at the end of the first
set cassette and I'm not sure why it wasn't there. It went right
from the Weekapaug to what you have here.
The filler represents the missing portion of 4/8/90 to pair with
Jeff Goldberg's excellent 141666 seed, albeit with a tape flip.
The flip occurs prior to the Goldberg conclusion, so a nice crossfade
can be done and the flip forgotten. The 1st generation copy used to
supply this "should" sound similar, but it doesn't. Here's why.
Eric recorded all of the Spring Colorado 1990 run, and May 23,24,and 30 1990
in the Southeast. He used an Aiwa double well auto-reverse consumer deck.
Eric liked to run low levels, religiously. With the low levels, the
signal to noise level is poor.....you needed a certain amount of gain with
the 1990 board to get everything. Eric seemed to figure this out, a bit, as
things went along. His Southeast tapes sound a little better.
The tape heads were not particularly clean and probably were not
demagnetized. Occurring in tandem with auto-reverse record mode
usually makes for poor results with one side sounding muddier than the other.
There was also a fairly significant level discrepancy between channels on
these tapes as well - I'm not exactly sure what that was about. These and
other issues were corrected in the 24bit realm.
Nevertheless, Eric was a cool taper. He did things that other tapers didn't
do....he recorded long intros and outros, including capturing the house P.A.
music pre and post-show. He recorded soundchecks. Eric's favorite songs
were Lizards and No Dogs Allowed, which the band played for him at 4/21/90.

For the track listing, not this source specifically. It sure sounds like Bike is the set closer (a minute of crowd afterwards) and Harpua is part of the encore (goes immidiately into BBFCFM). Track listing should be updated to add songs after YEM anyhow.
