OldNeumanntapr Notes-
This Was one of the first DATs that my friend Jack Hunt sent to me when I bought my Sony 59ES in 1993. Jack’s friend ‘Digital’ Dave Gettilman recorded this with large-diaphragm AKG 414s and gave him a digital copy. I was not happy with the initial transfer of the second-clone DAT that I did with analog cables, and since my DAT recorders have all met a slow painful death I decided to have Flying M do a fresh digital transfer, and a remaster. He was able to clean up the recording a bit to make it shine even more than it did originally. Eventually I was able to see and record the Allman Brothers at Red Rocks for myself, but I had to wait until 2001 when Jack and I made the journey to Colorado. Thanks to Flying M for his expert post production skills. This really is a huge improvement!
