A spoken word performance consisting of three parts:  first, a 20-minute story in three parts called Famous Pieces:  An American Adventure (which is not his poem about the Grateful Dead that appeared on GD Hour # 382 / 1397); then a series of short pieces; finally Silver Marbles, another longer piece with four parts.  The beginning of the Short Pieces segment is cut and it's not clear how much is missing.  Presumably, Hunter gave a short introduction explaining the format, as he did with the other two segments.

The levels for track 1 were raised considerably to make Hunter's explanation of the evening audible, and this created a lot of hiss, but that all goes away 10 seconds later when the levels came up as the story begins.  So don't let that bother you.

https://www.newspapers.com/newspage/461553967/ states that Hunter did one of his poetry and music group performances at the Great American Music Hall the following evening, so this date and location are plausible if unconfirmed.

Enjoy!
